San Francisco Districts: Northwest

Laurel Heights, east of the Richmond District, is bounded by the University of San Francisco to the south. This quiet residential area is an eclectic combination of town houses and apartments.
Jordan Park
A small neighborhood that’s sometimes included in Laurel Heights, Jordan Park is a peaceful enclave that’s bounded by California Street to the north, Geary Boulevard to the south, Parker Street to the east and Arguello Boulevard to the west.
Lone Mountain
South of Laurel Heights is Lone Mountain, which is where the University of San Francisco is located. A historic San Francisco hill, Lone Mountain was once the location of several cemeteries, the graves of which were moved during the 1940s.
